Benefits of Membership
Training
Provided by the Local 2404 Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee at our 40,000-square-foot training centre on Annacis island in Delta B.C. including apprenticeship, safety certifications, support equipment, CWB welder testing as well as Leadership and Diver training at our Carpenters International Training Center in Las Vegas.
Pension Plan
Employers make monthly contributions to member’s pension plan for every hour worked. Upon retirement members receive monthly pension income.
Health & Welfare Plan
Extended health plan is an hour bank plan so members are covered during periods of unemployment. Coverage includes pre-paid prescriptions, dental, vision care, hearing aids, out of province/country emergency care, short/long-term disability and accidental death/life insurance.
